Making Miniatures: Trees and Mushrooms

In this class, you will learn how to create some fun and easy miniature plants! You'll be shown how to compare different bead shapes to create proportional and recognizable trees and mushrooms. Then you can assemble them into some quick dangly earrings!

 

You will need:

 

 Materials:

  • Czech glass bell flowers in various sizes.

  • Vertically drilled teardrops in various sizes.

  • 3mm firepolish rounds, if desiring Christmas trees. Holiday colors.

  • Size 10/0 Delicas for tree trunks.

  • Headpins

  • Ear wires or studs of choice.

Tools to purchase or use from classroom availability:

  • Round nose pliers.

  • Wire cutters

  • OR One Step Looper

  • Beading Mat

The instructor, Tamara Novikova, will have her personal collection of Czech glass flowers and teardrops to sift through. Please bring an additional $5 cash to utilize this option, as finding proportional shapes in store can be a bit challenging.
